The control room

Sign in

Open the desk address your organizer sent (it ends in /#/desk) and type the desk code. The organizer issues it on their own screen and it is shown once. A referee code does not open it.

If you are the organizer, Run the day in your menu opens the desk as you.

The phone remembers the code. Forget this desk code (in the menu on a laptop, under More on a phone) signs it out of this device.

The control room

The first screen shows the courts and what is on them.

At the top, one line: 2 courts free, 23 matches ready to start. Below, each court:

• Up next, with the category, group and both sides. The desk put it there, and nobody has scored a point.
• Move it puts the match on a different court.
• Take it off puts it back.
• Free with Put a match on it puts one on.

At the foot, 23 matches are ready and on no court counts the ones you could still put on.

The title bar says Online and Last heard just now. If the phone loses signal it says so, and the page keeps what it last knew. Refresh asks again.

When a court is playing

Once a referee starts scoring, the card shows the live score. The desk and the phones agree about the court: a match being scored is shown on the court its referee chose, even if you planned another.

Alerts

The control room speaks up when something needs a decision:

• A court has had no point for N minutes. Check the phone, or record the result from paper.
• Two sides are level on every tie-break. Place them, and the knockout waits for it.
• A recorded result was between people who are not who the draw puts there now. Usually because a group changed. Check it.
• The desk has one winner and the referee's phone another. Check which is right.
